Ed, and all others asking about access to these lists.  I will repost the entire collection following this little tutorial of sorts that won't be much of a tutorial.  Each and every one of these sets of instructions is presented as a link.  Activating that link will trigger the corresponding file to download to your computer.  I cannot say whether that means it will go to your Downloads folder or elsewhere because I can't know who has the "Always ask me where to save a file" setting turned on in their favorite web browser.

After the file is downloaded it's an MS-Word file like any other that you can simply select, activate the selected file, and have it open in MS-Word.  If you do not have Microsoft Office the Word format files will also open in Open Office or Libre Office (and several other alternative office suites) if this is what you have on your computer.

Hi all,

Sometimes, it is helpful to look at the downsides of Windows 10 ecosystem, and the article (linked below) captures this well. As a Windows Insider, I myself agree that overall tactic from Microsoft when it came to upgrade notifications was aggressive at times (you may remember a discussion several months ago regarding GWX and others).

Yes, the wiki is set up so that members of this forum can edit (we don’t want public vandalism).

To edit a post, you’ll first need to log in. Go to groups.io homepage, then look for a link that says, “log in” or “sign in” (one of these should work). Then enter your email address once the form comes up. Then you’ll be asked to set up a password (perhaps another form once you press ENTER after entering your email address). Set up the password. Alternatively, you can log into the web interface if you have a Gmail or a Facebook account (if so, you can use links that invites you to log in using these credentials).

Once you log in, go to the wiki page (win10.groups.io/g/win10/wiki), then if you wish to edit a page, go to that page and go to edit control (a button or a link I believe). Then you can edit wiki pages.

I am sorry, but maybe I need to be a bit more descriptive.  I went to the Wiki page.  It says there that only folks in this group can edit or post.  So, I need more details on exactly how this works.

Are you saying that I’ll need to go to the main group page and set up a password?

It is very difficult to get all of this when your answers are aimed at a person who is well above my level of experience.

I have seen a couple of posts from folks saying the same sort of things. I know I’d appreciate it if you would aim your answers at a person who is not at your level of understanding.

Hi Brian,

Could you please explain to me as I am and old geezer how to get to these instructions that you and Joseph are talking about.  I think it would be really good if you could give step by step how to get to these instructions on how to do  different things that you have put together.

The reason I am suggestion this is I am sure there are a lot of us on this list that our not computer techie’s that would appreciate this information.
