Hi, If you have 836, you have the absolute latest update. The message you are getting is due to definition updates. Cheers, Joseph

Leslie Fairall <fairall@...>
Thank you, Desert. I believe you are right in that my professor just gave a phone number instead of enabling the global calling options. You don't have to worry about this in Skype for Business. I'm considering calling disability support Services, so they can request that all professors enable this option when scheduling meetings.

Re: strange anomaly.
Brian Vogel <britechguy@...>
The first thing I'd suggest is taking one of the shortcuts that have a functioning shortcut key and deleting the shortcut key for said shortcut.
Then try assigning that now freed up shortcut key sequence to the one you can't seem to make stick. There are only so many "spare" keyboard shortcuts available for use. I suspect you may have hit the limit if you assign keyboard shortcuts to desktop shortcuts with regularity. This at least let's you know whether that may be the case. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Desert Moon
Hello Leslie and List,
The fact that you did not see the Global Call In Option in the Meeting Invitation indicates your professor had left out this option when creating that meeting. Giving you a number from a previous meeting or other meetings would not work. I suggest you share your experiences and strugles with your professor; and request him/her to make future meetings more accessible by enabling global call in. Best, -- Desert

So you can also go for months and months and months with a different password on your Windows 10 MS Account Linked User Account and actual MS Account so long as you do not enter the new one from the MS Account when logging in to Windows 10. Not that there's really much purpose in doing so, but I've known a couple of people who virtually demanded different passwords, and this is how I set them up after discovering this by accident. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Re: win 10 iso
Well there are no more windows additions as far as actual images. Instead its all to do with the licence of windows. If you upgrade that licence which will be registered to your microsoft account you can simply load it in. I am not sure what happens if you have brought multiple licences for multiple additions on the same account and how that would work.

And you can happily log in to Windows with a Microsoft Id and password and without internet connectivity for weeks and months on end, it makes no difference except of course that you have no internet connectivity which even if you use a local account would be less than desirable.

Re: Concerning Chromium Edge
Brian Vogel <britechguy@...>
Veronica, you asked, and I answered about Home Page versus On Startup Pages 2 days ago, and I am going to merge this topic back in with that one. Please read the link I gave you, where the explicit instructions for setting your On Startup page(s), Home Page, and default search engine under Chromium Edge with a screen reader have been discussed, step-by-step. https://win10.groups.io/g/win10/message/41525
There is a difference in what used to be called a Home Page back in the IE days and a Home Page now, which is what you get to when you hit the Home button (if you have it displayed). And what you want is an On Startup page if that's what you wish to have displayed when the browser is started afresh. I believe you are correct regarding search by voice. I never use it, though. The default location for where files download in new Edge (just like old Edge and IE) is your Downloads folder unless you changed it or someone else did. If you open Edge Settings and navigate to the Downloads pane, you are given the choice to change the download location, if you wish all files to go to one place like Downloads, or to throw a toggle that tells Edge to ask you for each download where you wish to have it saved. -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 1909, Build 18363 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Concerning Chromium Edge
Veronica Kirk
When I open edge in order for my home page Google to come up I have to press Alt plus home. I just want to be sure this is correct, as with IE it automatically popped up without having to do anything. Also, I was wondering how do I go about downloading with this browser so that it will end up in downloads.
When google my search engine appears, I notice that one has to tab through the search areas and one is search by voice. I presume that is for one with a microphone. Thank you for any input. I have been using IE for many years, so it is rather difficult for me to learn a browser so totally different. Any help will be very much appreciated.
Veronica

Re: Using sync settings in Edge
Hi kelly. I know that microsoft accounts are online. If you lost the net and had to login can you login with a microsoft account when offline. Assuming you can, its going to eventually have to connect. If it does, one assumes that at some point things may just not work because it needs the net. Ie the net is needed to login to windows or if it logs in varification or for some services. If this happens, I assume I probably can't get access to any of my files or even some services till things come back online, or I make a local account assuming I can actually get windows to boot to an online account without the online part with reinstalling windows first. Its why I still use a local account for login. Once windows is started I do use services from email and apps. I don't use any office subscriptions or onedrive though and only universal apps and the store mainly as well as being an x box insider and have storage on dropbox which aint up all the time either.

Hi Jerry,
Here are steps for importing into Outlook:
From: Smiling? Here are steps for importing contacts for most versions of Outlook and I’ve never used the Mail app to assist with exporting.
1. From within the inbox, Alt+F for File menu. 2. O for Open and right arrow, or enter. 3. Now arrow to the list of choices and choose Import hitting enter. 4. Select the Import from another program or file option. 5. Arrow down and choose the Comma Separated Values (DOS) option. 6. Now it's going to give you the option to find the .CSV file it is that you are planning on importing from. 7. You are going to need to tell it in which directory to save your contacts (which will most likely be Contacts). 8. Tab to finish and it should just automatically import your contacts. Smiling
