Hi, Do you see optional updates when you open Settings/Update and Security/Windows Update? If not, don't worry as Version 21H2 is not offered to you yet. Cheers, Joseph

Re: screen rotation keystroke
JinYoun
Wow, thank you for this simple method! Yesterday, for some reason the shift + f10 did not open the context menu when I tried it on the intel graphics button on the status bar and when I googled how to disable the hot key, I had to go through settings and then find graphics properties and blah blah blah many other steps to disable the hot key.
Because buttons are not labeled in the graphic properties, the NAO add on came very handy. Thank you for this great tip.

Chris Nova
Hi, You can turn it off. Make sure your screen is set normal before disabling the hot keys.
You can then use alt-ctrl-arrow keys to use table navigation without changing the screen by mistake.

NVDA has the same table navigation keystrokes, so if you happen to be in a table in forms or focus mode, you flip the screen. I just discovered that by accident.

The last major thing you should have gotten is build 2 H2. Type
into the run dialog winver then press enter. Your screen reader
should tell you the build you hve.

Re: W10 Updates
There are two ways to do this. Go to the run box by pressing windows key+r, and type winver, and press enter. Press windows key, type winver and press enter.

I think it's quicker, to press windows key, start typing: brightness, until you here "change brightness level." Press enter and if all is well, you should here "change brightness for the built in display." This is a slider, which you can adjust accordingly.

If you go to the desktop and press control plus space bar, your screenreader will say something like “no selection”. Now press the application and arrow up to “properties”. There should be a tab on the properties page for personalize., Press personalize and tab several times til you hear “screen brightness”. Check that out and see what you get.
Cheers,
Mont

You could try going to device manager, expanding your USB controllers, then finding anything labeled root hub. Right-click (applications key or shift+f10), and visit properties. Under properties, there should be a power management tab. Going there should yield a checkbox to allow Windows to turn off that device. Uncheck it, and hopefully your issue will be solved. Thanks.

I had researched this on line and I was told the same thing, but I don’t see any USB settings there. The problem I am having is that I have a USB drive that shuts off about every 10 or 15 seconds. Is there any other work around for this? Thank you so much for your help. Lynne Moore

Re: A Question About Selective Suspend

Hello, You can do this by going to control panel, going to power plan settings, and find the advanced settings. there should be settings for USB there, if your computer supports and shows that. That is where that should be.

A Question About Selective Suspend
Lynne Moore
Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is having a good morning. I have a Dell laptop runningWindows 10 Home, 16 GB of RAM, Version 21H1, build 19043.1348 with a 64-bit operating system. I wondered if anyone could give me specific instructions on how to enable/disable Selective Suspend. Thanks for any help. Lynne Moore

Update on my Audio Issue
Vicki W
Well, seems like HP, with this laptop anyway, muted
the headset by default. Of course, with the headset plugged in and muted I
couldn't unmute it without someone to look at the screen while the headset was
plugged in.
Once I got that done, I discovered that it was
muted, unmuted it and all is working great now. What a silly thing for HP to do,
mute a headset by default.
Thanks to those who responded to my
problem
Vicki
