How wil it know. Anyone could install a demo of jaws, and window eyes as well as demos of zoomtext and magic and qualify to get the upgrade to windows 10.

Microsoft can"look inside" your system during the update/upgrade process, I would guess that Microsoft have a list of"approved" assistive technology and if your software is in the whitelist, hey presto no problem , otherwise the updater will probably spit out an error message of some sort or just refuse to update your computer.

Larry, Looks like we were both wrong, though there's nothing like going down to the wire before making an official announcement!

Were you having difficulty before? I've run it under Win10 emulation on a Mac that is a "pre-anniversary" environment and had no issues. -- Any idiot can face a crisis. It's the day-to-day living that wears you out. ~ Anton Chekhov

I'm thrilled to see they've done this. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, is there?! I wonder how many people will try to figure out what it is that Microsoft queries to determine you're an AT user in order to qualify that don't actually use AT. There's always a contingent that will do this just for giggles, even though they could have upgraded through 11:59 PM tonight without doing so.

I have been in touch with people on the disability line over the last several days. They assured me that the free upgrade for disabled people would last until the end of the year. I agree with you, I think it will be on a person to person bases. They also said even if you were only using Narrator this statement would still be good. Larry

Yes, Groove has a random and a repeat feature, and you can easily delete a song right in the Groove app!

So, does this App have a Shuffle, or Random feature and can files be deleted from within it's framework? Meaning, if I hear something that I do not ever want to hear again can I easily delete it within Groove, or must I still go to the hard disk Folder and delete it manually from there? Thanks. Re: Will my Windows Live Mail work as before after upgrading to Windows 10
Cornelius
yes it will.
From: James Robinson

Subject: [win10] Will my Windows Live Mail work as before after
upgrading to Windows 10 Hello List!
I have upgraded nearly all of my computers (laptops and/or notebooks) to
Windows 10; however, I have currently left one desktop pc with windows 7 because
I have many emails from credit cards for payment of my bills and I am not sure
how these will open in windows 10. If I upgrade this last machine to
windows 10 and have all my files and apps remain, will I find Windows Live Mail
remain on the system or will this account be converted to windows mail.
Also I have Office 2007 and outlook 2007 and I want to know if this will remain
the same. I am leaving this machine as a windows 7 machine because I want
total access to my current emails and don’t want to have to go looking for them
later. If I can be convinced that my current emails will be accessible as
before, then I will run the creation tool and upgrade this last system as
well. Also, if I decide to way to upgrade this one, could I run the
windows creation tool later after the anniversary and still have it work or will
these tools be useless after the anniversary. I have created several thumb
drives with both 32 and 64 versions of the tool. How long will these work
or will there be a new creation tool after the anniversary to upgrade old
windows 7 systems to windows 10.
Sincerely, James Arthur Robinson, Sr., President Jardata Corporation
