Odd speech in win 10

Roger Stewart

Often when I close out a program and focus goes to the taskbar, I hear something like English United States being spoken. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

Thanks.

Roger

This is an interesting question. Which screen reader are you using?
I'm using NVDA 2015.4. I don't recall hearing the "english US" message upon closing a program but I often hear it as soon as I press the enter key after writing my logon password. It's an odd quirk but harmless and I just ignore it but I do wonder where that's coming from.

Ok, You've answered my question. I get the same message except it says UK English and it only happens sometimes I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Yes, I noticed that either. That is normal because it was set from your current setting in region and languages. Though, it does not harm but I'm used to it.
