Yes,I just noticed that either. That is normal because it was set from your current setting in region and languages. Though, it does not harm but I'm used to it.

Ok, You've answered my question. I get the same message except it says UK English and it only happens sometimes I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

I'm using NVDA 2015.4. I don't recall hearing the "english US" message upon closing a program but I often hear it as soon as I press the enter key after writing my logon password.
