Creators Update is ready for broad deployment #branchprogression #WinTenOld

Hi everyone,

Important reminder: for new family members, the #BranchProgression hashtag is reserved for announcements like the one below, signifying the progression of a build from one branch to the next. This will happen once the next feature update build comes to release preview Insiders and when a release is ready for broad deployment (formerly it applied to when the build is moving from Current Branch (CB) to Current Branch for Business (CBB)). The next release preview announcement will be sent once Fall Creators Update stable build hits the air.

Windows 10 Version 1703 (Creators Update) is now ready for broad deployment:

https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2017/07/27/windows-10-creators-update-fully-available-for-all-windows-10-customers/#vFdj6S1xcoZfYYCh.97

This means:

  • Windows 10 Version 1703 is now ready for businesses, enterprises and others.
  • No changes to Windows 10 Version 1607 (Anniversary Update) servicing.
  • End of support grace period for Windows 10 Version 1511 (November Update) has begun, with end of support scheduled for October 10, 2017. Note that Version 1511 is NOT an LTS (long-term support) release. A calendar announcement will be published in early September, reminding Version 1511 (build 10586) users to upgrade to Version 1607 (build 14393) or later.

Cheers,

Joseph
