Closing new notification window Google Chrome

Hi list

I had my default browser set to Google Chrome and subsequently allowed
notifications from a few sources allowed in, only thing is, when the
notifications appear, before I read and discard them via the action centre,
I'm not sure how to close the window on the desktop, I'm using Windows 10, I
press the Windows key and it says search and I then press escape but
wondered if there's an easier way.

Thanks.

I think the notifications that pop up close after a certain amount of time on their own. I usually Alt+Tab (if needed) to return focus to the window I was working with when the notification came in.
